I'm a qualified counsellor and member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association for Independent Practitioners (AIP). I work within BACP's ethical framework and have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (Enhanced Disclosure).

Clients have come to me with a range of issues including: addiction, anxiety, bereavement, coping with divorce, depression, family and parenting matters, loss of direction, low moods, low self esteem, panic attacks, relationship problems, stress and more...

My approach is 'Person Centred', although I use techniques from other approaches, such as CBT, when I feel it may be appropriate for my client. Relaxation techniques, for example, might be useful for clients suffering from stress and anxiety related problems.

I've worked with a variety of clients - male, female, young and old. Everybody is unique. I value all of my clients and feel that it's such a privilege to be able to cross paths with so many people, and to walk alongside them for part of their journey through life...

I really do love this work and feel that it's the perfect career for me. I've always been caring, sensitive and concerned about the wellbeing of family and friends, so it seems like a natural progression for me to be in a position to support people in a professional capacity now. In feedback I'm often told that I'm warm, calming, understanding and a good listener.
